4. According to Samarai Celestial, this album was recorded in the summer of 1979, before he joined the Arkestra.

5. Rhoda Blount is not a relative of Sun Ra, though he used to jokingly introduce her as his daughter. She used to work at WRTI 90.1 FM Radio Station at Temple University Philadelphia.

6. The title song is based on the harmonic structure of the Indian classical raga "Sampoorna Malkauns".

7. "Celestial Road" is titled thus on the sleeve - on the centre label it is given as "Strange Celestial Road".

8. According to Damon Choice, some vocals were overdubbed on this album.
